Minister of Water and Irrigation in Jordan. He is a Jordanian engineer and politician who has served in various key positions within the Jordanian government. His extensive public service career began with his appointment as Jordanian Minister of Transportation from 2000 to 2003. He later held the roles of Minister of Public Works and Housing (2003–2005) and Minister of Water and Irrigation in multiple cabinets, with terms spanning 2005, 2007–2009, 2018–2021, and starting again in September 2023.

H.E. Abu Al Saud holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Construction Management from the University of Miami, with further professional development from USAID and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. His technical expertise and leadership have been instrumental in managing critical national projects, including the Greater Amman Water Sector Improvement Program and the Disi Water Project, a $1 billion initiative vital to Jordan’s water supply.

H.E. Abu Al Saud has a diverse career extends over both public and private sectors, with notable contributions in water, energy, and construction. He has served on the board of Nama’a/Consultus, a consultancy firm focused on economic development in the MENA region since 2010. His experience includes key roles in construction projects in Jordan, including work for the Royal Hashemite Court, as well as managerial positions in Dubai. His work has significantly impacted Jordan’s infrastructure and governance.
